Spending Mega Millions prize may be no easy task

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - If you should happen to win the upcoming Mega Millions jackpot, and your goal is to use up all the money as fast as possible, you might want to move out of town.

If you are simply determined to dispose of the money, that's no problem.  You could donate it all to a leading university or hospital.  You could gamble it away around the world.  You could give it away a million at a time to people you met in bars.  If you asked a luxury shipbuilder to use it all on a yacht, they could oblige you.  You could buy the City of Cincinnati a streetcar system.

On the other hand, if you go shopping around the Tri-State at advertised prices, you might find that the money, which is an estimated $198.2 million if taken in cash, goes a long way.

We looked for a group of mostly Cincinnati-area items that a person could buy, and found it hard to use up the money.  For starters, we added up the price of the 50 most-expensive homes c

DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, WARREN COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - A Deerfield Township man's car crashed in the back yard of a house on Ronbet Drive, but that's not where he went off the road.

A Warren County Sheriff's Office report says 44-year-old Brian Kruse, who lives in the neighborhood, told them that he was trying to get away from another car when he crashed on Tuesday.

They say he drove his maroon 1997 Chevy Lumina off Crestview Drive, through the side yard of a home, into a chain link fence, and ended up in the back yard of a home on Ronbet.

The report says he was only able to describe the other vehicle as a blue car.

Kruse, who was wearing a seat belt, was not hurt.  Damage was mostly to the front middle of the car.  The deputy cited him for Operation of a Vehicle Off Street/Highway with Disregard for Safety.

VIDEO: Suspects caught on Vending-Cam

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, BUTLER COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - We've obtained the original video of two men wanted for breaking into vending machines at a rest stop on I-75.

After repeated and destructive attacks on the machines, the Ohio State Patrol hid a video camera in a pop machine at the rest stop on southbound 75 south of State Route 63.

They soon caught a break-in on video.  On Sunday September 26th, two men broke into the same machine the camera was placed in.  There are other cameras in the building as well.

In the video, the two men come in, and walk back and forth to see if the coast is clear.  Then of them pulls out a lug wrench and smashes into the part of the machine where the dollar bills are stored, scoring 10 or 20 bucks plus a little something for the Patrol's video album.

The Patrol says the man with the lug wrench has an oversized ring on his right ring finger, and pierced left ear.  They say the fancy writing on his t-s
