BUTLER COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - The Butler County Visitors Bureau (BCVB) announced on Friday that the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation has chosen West Chester, as the location for the 10th Biennial Disabled Water Ski World Championships. The event, presented by the Barbara Bolding/Jim Grew Foundation, will take place August 25-28, 2011 at Voice of America Park.
The economic impact for the event is estimated at $140,000.
“Butler County is honored to serve as host for such a unique sporting event,” stated Mark Hecquet, Executive Director of the BCVB. “This event will be beneficial not only for Voice of America Park, but also for the many other businesses in the area including hotels, restaurants, attractions and shopping venues.”
The 10th Biennial Disabled Water Ski World Championships will feature three main events: slalom, tricks, and jumping.
