CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Cincinnati Reds have created a “Hide and Tweet” scavenger hunt where clues to locations of Opening Day tickets will be released on the popular social networking web site Twitter on Saturday, March 26 and Sunday, March 27. 

The Reds will be giving away four pairs of Opening Day tickets through four different scavenger hunts in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.

LIBERTY tOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Lakota Elementary School to host their own version of "March Madness with a charity basketball tournament. According to school officials 158 teams of both girls and boys from grades three through sixth will hit the court later this month. With an average of eight kids per team, they will put almost 1300 kids on the basketball courts for what they are calling the largest tournament ever.

The tournament will tip-off Monday, March 14th and end with the finals on Friday, March 25th. The brackets should be posted online at www.lakotaonline.com/marchmadness by Thursday afternoon.

Lakota School officials say over 1,200 kids will participate in this event representing their elementary school. Every elementary school in the district will be represented.

(FOX19) - On April 2nd, Saint Ursula Academy, Ursuline Academy, Saint Xavier High School and Moeller High School will join forces for a first-of-its-kind event to raise money for leukemia research.

On April 2nd, 2011, the four schools will join forces to put on The Orange and White Game at St. Xavier High School.  But this game is no ordinary competition. The Orange and White Game is a fundraising event where students will switch roles.  Rival girls’ schools, Ursuline Academy and Saint Ursula Academy, will go head to head in a flag football game, with two teams composed of seniors from each school. The rival boys’ schools, Moeller High School and Saint Xavier High School, will act as the cheerleaders, competing and performing in the half time show.

CINCINNATI, OH(FOX 19)- The Cincinnati Kings face the Louisville lightning this Friday for their final regular-season home game. The Kings go into this game with a division leading record of 13-2, already securing their spot in the Professional Arena Soccer League playoffs.  The Kings will also host the PASL Playoffs March 10th thorught the 12th.  An international field will be competing with the likes of Cananda and Mexico among other teams.  The match will begin promptly at 7:35pm, with the arena opening at 6:30pm. Tickets to largest-ever Western-Southern Open on sale at 9:00 a.m.

MASON, OH (FOX19) - Tickets for the 2011 Western & Southern Open go on sale to the general public starting Tuesday March 1, at 9:00 a.m.

The event takes place August 13-21, 2011 at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio.  For the first time ever, the venue will host top-tier men's and women's tournaments simultaneously during the same week.

The new combined format joins Rome, Madrid, Miami and Indian Wells (near Palm Springs, CA) as the only other cities in the world hosting the same caliber events for both sexes at the same time.  “For the first time the entire world of tennis will be focused on Cincinnati for one week,” said tournament CEO Elaine Bruening.

This marks the 113th year since the tournament debuted in Cincinnati. The world's top professional tennis players will compete for the richest purse in the event's history, totaling $5.2 million.

NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) - A film about Pete Rose will be released Tuesday on DVD, and Rose will appear with it at three local Kroger stores.

"4192: The Crowning of the Hit King" is a production that focuses solely on his playing career, which has often been overshadowed by the betting scandal that removed him as a Hall-of-Fame candidate and as Reds' manager.

The DVD, produced by Cincinnati-based Barking Fish Entertainment, goes on sale at midnight Tuesday morning.

Rose will appear in person from 10:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Kroger's Liberty Township Marketplace, which is at 7300 Yankee Road off the Cincinnati-Dayton Road exit from the Butler Regional Highway (Ohio 129), just west of I-75.

From 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. he will be at the Marketplace at 10477 Harrison Avenue, which is between the Dry Fork and New Haven Roads in Harrison.
