Local frozen yogurt business strives to spread even more smiles

WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - Menchie's Frozen Yogurt is giving back to teh community around them.

In addition to supporting local charities, and organizations, Menchie himself spreads smiles within the community through visits to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, as well as local libraries, school functions, and community events.

"One of the things that enticed me most about starting a Menchie’s franchise was its focus on spreading smiles throughout your community," stated Hach, who is a resident of West Chester. With locations in both West Chester and Fairfield, Hach currently supports local schools, churches, YMCAs, and non-profit organizations such as Reach Out Lakota and Shared Harvest Food Bank, through donations, food drives, and fundraisers.

Since opening his West Chester location in August 2012, Hach has made guest experience and community involvement a fundamental part of his business plan.

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Area O’Charley’s will be among the first in the country to be part of O’Charley’s “Free Pie Wednesdays.” The mid-week reward, which begins April 17, will be an opportunity for customers to try five new pie options recently added to the menu as a sincere “thank you” from O’Charley’s.

“All of us at O’Charley’s are thrilled to offer these exclusive pies to our friends and neighbors in the Cincinnati area,” said Mickey Mills, president of O’Charley’s. “We look at Free Pie Wednesdays as an opportunity to not only say “thank you” for allowing us to be a part of this wonderful community, but for all of the hard work our customers put in day in and day out.”

“Free Pie Wednesdays” will be available at Cincinnati, West Chester, Springdale, Milford, Franklin, Cold Spring, Harrison, and Florence O’Charley’s locations.

(FOX19) - Area Skyline Chili restaurants are going green for the St. Patrick's Day holiday.

On Sunday, March 17 participating Skyline Chili locations will offer customers the chance to enjoy a "Green Way" in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.

Skyline’s Ways will be served with customers’ choice of regular or green pasta, beans and/or onions, topped off by Skyline’s traditional chili and cheese.

Green Ways will be available at participating store locations throughout the day. Customers can find their local Skyline Chili location by visiting www.skylinechili.com.

BUTLER COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - Anyone can donate to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Butler County by grabbing a bite to eat at area Bob Evans restaurants.

When you eat at any of the Bob Evans restaurants in Butler County on Monday, March 18, Wednesday, March 20, or Thursday, March 21, Bob Evans will donate 15% of your bill to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Butler County.

Dine in, carry out, and catering orders all qualify for this promotion.  However, you must show a Big Brothers Big Sisters/Bob Evans flyer when you check out in order for your purchase to qualify for a donation.

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -Many Cincinnati natives are raised on the unique tastes of Skyline Chili.

This year for National Chili Day, Skyline decided to initiate the newest Cincinnatians and welcome them to the community and to the world.

All babies born on Feb. 28 will receive a special Skyline bib and the mother will receive a celebratory dinner provided by Skyline.

Hospitals include, University Hospital – UC Health, Mercy Hospital of Anderson and Fairfield, St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, Bethesda North Hospital, and The Christ Hospital.

(FOX19) - In honor of National Chocolate Mint Day, Skyline Chili diners will receive a minty treat with their menu purchase on Tuesday.

Dine-in customers will get a free York Peppermint Patty on Tuesday, February 19 with any meal.

“Our customers tell us one of the delights of the Skyline Chili experience is tradition,” said Sarah Sicking, director of marketing for Skyline Chili. “Some of these include making cracker bombs before the meal, wearing their special Skyline bib, talking with their favorite server and getting their York Peppermint Patty to end the meal. We want to honor our customers and their Skyline dining traditions by celebrating National Chocolate Mint Day with our Skyline Chili family.”
