IKEA to hand out free reusable shopping bags on Fountain Square | Public Spaces
Title (Max 100 Characters)
CINCINNATI (FOX19) – People from the West Chester IKEA will make a trek to Fountain Square Thursday to give away blue IKEA bags.
It’s part of what the company calls its “National Random Acts of Life Improvement” campaign, and is being done across the country. The large, iconic, reusable bag is flexible, lightweight and easily cleaned, making it an ideal companion to transport items for all types of activities throughout summer - like trips to the beach, the pool or a backyard BBQ. Locally, IKEA West Chester will be handing out the free bags at Fountain Square in Downtown at 11:00 a.m.
Last year IKEA launched the Random Acts of Life Improvement campaign to surprise and delight the public with tokens of appreciation to improve everyday moments in their lives.
This is the 3rd Random Act of Life Improvement being executed, in which IKEA plans to give away 35,000 blue bags nationwide throughout the morning. IKEA chose to give away the bags to provide consumers with a reusable accessory that will be useful for carrying all types of items throughout the summer and beyond. IKEA phased out plastic bags for in-store shoppers in 2007 and 2008 under a call to go reusable with the IKEA blue bag or use an alternative reusable bag.

In the case of inclement weather, more information will be available at the Twitter address. (You don’t need a Twitter account, just web access; go to http://twitter.com/#!/@IKEAwestchester.)
