Police search for missing West Chester man

WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) -West Chester Police have issued a Missing Adult Alert for an elderly man suffering from dementia.

Michael Hayward, 80, was last seen at 11:00 a.m. Saturday on Woodland Hills Drive. Authorities say Hayward was expected to be en route to the Milford area from West Chester.

Hayward suffers from dementia, diabetes and other medical conditions and may be in need of medications.

Police believe that Hayward is driving a dark blue 2001 Ford F150 with Ohio plates FSV9660.

Anyone with information on Hayward's whereabouts is asked to call 1-866-693-9171 or call 911.

West Chester Police Captain graduates from CLEE program

WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - West Chester Township Police Captain Brian Rebholz, a 20-year veteran of the force, is one of just 300 law enforcement professionals who have graduated from the 14-month Certified Law Enforcement Executive (CLEE) program.

The CLEE program is designed to prepare police officers to more effectively lead their organizations and serve their communities.

Participants were selected for the program by meeting set standards in experience, formal and continuing education, as well as professional-related experience. For more than a year, they received instruction in areas including ethics; change management; interpersonal skills; vision, mission and organizational values; strategic planning; external environmental management; and resource allocation and utilization.

(FOX19) - Mike Loy, manager of food and beverage at Kings Island, interviews Morgan King from West Chester, Ohio for a position at the Rivertown Pizza location in the 364-acre amusement and water park on Saturday. 

Kings Island is now hiring to fill more than 4,000 seasonal associates for the 2013 season.  A diverse range of job opportunities are available and associates needed in all areas of park operation including admissions, call center, entertainment, finance, food and beverage, fire and safety, games, guest services, lifeguards, merchandise, rides, security, sweeps and warehouse.

WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - Llanfair, a premier continuing care retirement community serving southwest Ohio, welcomed featured guest chef, Henry Warman, Executive Chef at The Savannah Center, located in West Chester, Ohio on Tuesday, December 18.

Llanfair’s featured chef, Chef Henry Warman, Executive Chef at the Savannah Center is well-known among many chefs in the area.  He is the father of Courtney Papke, Llanfair's Registered Dietetic Technician and Mateo, who works in Llanfair's Terrace kitchen.

Chef Warman began his training in Las Pizzas, Italy, continued his education at The Culinary Institute of New York and The Culinary Institute of American, studied abroad by joining several cruise lines and ended up in Cincinnati in 1982.

UC Health aquires physicians for West Chester women's center

WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - UC Health announced on Wednesday its purchase of Lisa Larkin, MD & Associates, a Madisonville internal medicine and gynecology practice specializing in women’s health issues, specifically mid-life women’s health and menopause.

“We are thrilled to have Dr. Larkin and her associates join UC Health,” said Myles Pensak, MD, CEO of University of Cincinnati Physicians, UC Health’s physicians group. “Acquiring Dr. Larkin’s practice was a natural next step to increase our commitment to women’s health care in the region.”

Dr. Larkin was named director of the new UC Health Women’s Center at West Chester this past summer. She is a nationally recognized expert in the field of perimenopause, menopause transition and female sexual issues.

Olympic gold medalist Jordyn Wieber speaks to local children

WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) -  Olympic gold medalist and reigning national women's gymnastics champion Jordyn Wieber made an appearance on Tuesday at a private luncheon for challenged children.

Wieber, a key member of the US Womens Gymnastics Team's famed "Fierce Five", was the featured guest at the luncheon at the Embassy Suites in Covington.

Jordyn will also make an appearance on Tuesday for a gymnastics clinic at Perfection Gymnastics in West Chester.  Wieber will be featured in the clinic as a special instructor, and the clinic will include a question and answer session, photos, autographs, and more. 

Jordyn is in Cincinnati with the Kellogg’s® Tour of Gymnastics Champions and is scheduled to perform at US Bank Arena on Thursday.
