US Route 42 closure in West Chester began Saturday | News
WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - The Ohio Department of Transportation closed a portion of U.S. Route 42 in West Chester on Saturday.
While the closure is being planned for 14 days, crews are committed to completing the necessary work sooner and opening the road as soon as possible, again weather permitting. The closure is necessary in order to replace a large culvert under the roadway.
The closure will take place near the 8700 block of U.S. Route 42, between Butler-Warren and Cox roads.
Access to all businesses and properties will be maintained throughout the closure.
An approved detour route directs traffic north on Cox Road, east on Tylersville Road and southwest on U.S. Route 42. The route is reversed for those headed southwest on U.S. Route 42.
