WARREN COUNTY, OH (FOX19)- A Dayton man is indicted on theft and assault charges after a police chase earlier this month.

Authorities say a Trevon Broomfield had been running a scam through Craigslist.

Officers say that between 12/8/12 and 1/15/13, Broomfiled had responded to at least three Craigslist ads to buy vehicles.

Police say Broomfield would then steal the vehicles from the owner.

On January 15, Broomfield came to a house in West Chester to do just that.

After he drove off, police say they caught up with vehicle on northbound I-75 near West Chester.
The chase continued up 75, reaching speeds of 100 miles per hour.

Officers say Broomfield attempted to avoid stop sticks and crashed into an
Ohio State Highway Patrol vehicle and came to a rest on its rooftop off
the side of the road.

A Warren County Grand Jury indicted Broomfield on charges of felonious assault, receiving stolen property, vehicle theft & theft from an elderly person.
