Free family-fun at the Great Pumpkin Fest | Events
WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - Children of all ages can enjoy some fall-themed fun at West Chester Township’s Great Pumpkin Fest 2011. The event will be held on October 8 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Keehner Park, located on Barret Road in West Chester.
There will be plenty of family-friendly activities for kids to enjoy, including a variety of inflatable rides, crafts, pony rides and a petting zoo from Honey Hill Farm. The Not-So-Scary Haunted Trail presented by the Woodland Mounds Girl Scouts will make its way through the woods.
The FIRST Team 1038 robotics will be at Pumpkin Fest for the first time demonstrating their work and showing guests how to build their own robots.
The Primrose School of West Chester Costume Contest begins at 3 p.m. on the amphitheatre stage. In addition to prizes for the contest winners of each age category, the West Chester Historical Society will also present a prize to the child with the best historical costume.
West Chester Township Police and Fire departments will also be on hand with important safety information for families.
Concessions and some trinkets will be on sale at the event, but all activities at Pumpkin Fest are free.
