Salvation Army hiring for positions at new West Chester store | Community Spirit

WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - The Salvation Army is set to open a new store in West Chester on Saturday, January 12. The store includes 18,000 square feet of shopping space filled with bargain-priced clothing, household items, electronics, books, toys, furniture and collectables. Budget-conscious shoppers will also appreciate the store’s even deeper “Family Day” discounts on Wednesdays.
Located at 7900 Tylersville Square, just off route 75 – Tylersville exit right next door to the “Lowe’s” store, the Family Store will open its doors for the first time at 9:00 a.m. Opening day shoppers will enjoy free coffee, hot dogs and for the first 100 customers a special Salvation Army shopping bag filled with gifts.
There will also be a free drawing for a new “Cincinnati Bengals” jacket. Free drawings for gift certificates, a 32" flat screen and other prizes will take place for the store's first seven business days.
“Our new Family Store will offer more selection and more bargains that appeal to everyone in order to provide our customers with a better shopping experience and support our social services work,” says Major Beauchamp, who oversees The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center at Norwood, Cincinnati location. “We really look forward to contributing to the community at all levels.”
The new store will bring more than 20 new jobs to the area.This center offers services free of charge, and sales from the Family Thrift store are its sole source of funding. Families in need may also receive vouchers for free furniture or clothing from the store through other Salvation Army programs.
