Lakota schools get big check from local hospital

Lakota schools get big check from local hospital

West Chester Hospital presents a $10,000 check to the Lakota Local School District.

“On behalf of the students and faculty of the Lakota Local School District, I offer our sincere gratitude for this wonderful gift,” stated Dr. Karen Mantia, superintendent. “We have enjoyed building a beneficial relationship with West Chester Hospital and are most appreciative of the contributions that they have made to enhance both learning and teaching opportunities for our students and staff.”

The proceeds were raised through West Chester Hospital’s second annual fundraiser on April 26. This year it was decided a part of the profits would be given to the Lakota Fund. This will supply funding needed to provide students with experiences, resources, projects, leadership prospects and a variety of workshops.
