Rose Chevrolet fights arbitrator in court

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - Rose Chevrolet, the Hamilton car dealer whose franchise was dropped by GM during bankruptcy, has gone to court to fight an arbitrator's ruling in favor of GM.

The lawsuit says the arbitrator in the case relied almost completely on GM's version of why the franchise was dropped, despite a law requiring them to only use that as one facotr in the ruling.  It also says GM's versions of events is innacurate, with company having claimed the decision was based on a failure to meet criteria that Rose is known to have met.

Rose General Manager Ed Larkin says GM said they terminated dealers whose performance rating was under 70 and whose monthly sales were under 50 cars, while Rose exceeded both of those, with a score of 80, and sales that were 34th of 89 Chevy dealers in Ohio and 8th in the Greater Cincinnati area.  The lawsuit also claims that GM has retianed hundreds of delaers with performance scores under 70, and that the arbitrator should ha

Sex line number on cereal box forces Kroger to pull Ocho from shelves

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Kroger stores have pulled Ochocinco's cereal from shelves until further notice.

The side panel of the box features an ad for 'Feed the Children,' an international non-profit organization that is receiving the proceeds from the sale of Ochocinco's. The ad features a website and toll-free phone number for Feed the Children. The only problem is the phone number takes you to a sex line with a seductive-sounding woman who makes risque suggestions and then asks for a credit card number.

The actual toll free number for Feed the Children is 1-800-627-4556. The organization delivers food, medicine, clothing and other necessities to children and families who lack these items due to famine, war, poverty or natural disaster.

Bengal wide receiver Chad Ochocinco released his new cereal earlier this month.

Black bear seen in Symmes Twp

SYMMES TOWNSHIP, HAMILTON COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - A small black bear has been seen recently by five or six people in the area around Symmes Township Park.

The sightings were first reported by a couple of weeks ago. Township administrator Gerald Beckman says the reports were believable, so they notified neighbors and put up warning signs in the area. They have received several more reports since then.

The sightings have happened both in the park, the old Rozzi Fireworks property that is now owned by the township for future park development, and properties neighboring those properties.

The township and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources are not doing anything about the bear except to tell people to stay away from it and leave it alone.
